Forever Friends candle for Niece's 18th

Been a bit poorly so not posted much this week but done a fair bit of crafting over the weekend so catching up.  This is a stamped image transferred onto a candle for my Niece's 18th birthday next week.  Hope she likes it!

This is an easel style post-it note holder for a work mate's relative who is bravely fighting cancer.  It's Summer Bloom decoupage and paper, a bit of ribbon and some buttons.  The sentiment reads " Just Because".

And finally some more CAS cards.  A Valentine's one for my SO (not sure he'll be amused that it's only C6 size but I think it's small but perfectly formed!), and a random "you are so ....sweet" card that I made because I wanted to use the strawberry paper and embellishment left over from a scrapbook page.



Embossed flower CAS card

Another quick CAS card.  Stamped flower image onto four 2" squares and then embossed with black sparkle embossing powder.  DL size card on the horizontal.

The CAS (Clean and Simple) look is very on trend at the moment.  These are a few of my first attempts using leftover papers, card scraps and very few embellishments.  (These cards are A6 side but horizontal for a twist.)

Peppa Pig, oink, oink

No card today so thought I'd upload a photo of my YD (youngest daughter) dressed up as Peppa Pig for her friend's birthday party, bless.

I'd also like to give a special mention to my two biggest blog fans Goppa and Mosser.  They are both very experienced and talented crafters, (Paul specialises in decoupage), and I am humbled that they take the time out to offer me their expert advice and constructive criticism - love u guys x

(Not so) Quick Men's card

Made this for my cuz Carl who likes a Stella now and again!  Was supposed to be a quick card, but somehow men's cards are always a struggle for me.  I'm never entriely happy with the layouts and spend ages faffing about!





Clare's Challenge 11/01/11

This is my second ever challenge attempt over on the docrafts.com website.  It was based on a sketch.
Love the bright colours of the Doodlebug papers, reminds me of summer which seems a long way off :(

 This is my first ever challenge entry for a challenge over on http://www.docrafts.co.uk/.  I love Lili of the Valley's stamped images; this one is 'Hello Cupcake'.  The challenge was a sketch design and I took inspiration from LOTV's talented design team.  I don't normally go for the 'pretty, flowery look' bit think I'm turning.  http://www.wildorchidcrafts.com/ have some gorgeous handmade paper flowers which I'm going to order come pay day!

This is a close up of the sentiment and flowers, (these are Papermania ones though).  I was testing out the macro setting on my new camera which my SO bought me for Christmas.
